Financially struggling AFL-CIO to spend $53 million on Democrats in 2010

The AFL-CIO is $90 million in debt, but that won't stop it from spending $53 million on Democratic campaigns this year.

I can only assume that it's a desperate gamble to convince wavering Dems to shove the so-called Employee Free Choice Act and its odious card check provision, as they did with ObamaCare, down the throats of the public.
