The situation is looking good for Republican state Senator Bill Brady in his quest to end the Rod Blagojevich/Pat Quinn reign of fiscal terror in Illinois. In its latest poll, Rasmussen shows Brady with a 44 percent to 37 percent lead over Blago's two-time running mate.
In related news, Quinn's budget director David Vaught launched this bomb to a BusinessWeek reporter, "We're going to pass a tax increase in January. We expect it is going to be substantial."
As it looks now, Quinn and Vaught will be looking for work instead after New Year's Day. Brady opposes tax increases.
