Marathon Pundit: FLSen: Rubio smashes Crist quarterly cash record

Florida Republican US Senate candidate Marco Rubio, The Hill is reporting, raised $4.5 million in the second quarter of 2010, breaking a national record for this campaign cycle set by his chief rival for the open seat, ex-Republican Charlie Crist, the Sunshine State's governor.

Crist has yet to release his second quarter numbers.

Nor has Illinois Democratic Senate candidate Alexi Giannoulias, I'm if wondering Crist and Giannoulias are planning a Friday news dump with some depressing numbers.
