Oldest profession news

I usually avoid blogging about non-political criminal stories mainly because I find them uninteresting. But on Thursday night a Cook County Sheriff's Office sting arrested nine individuals in Schaumburg on prostitution-related charges.

What I found interesting about the Daily Herald report is that the best looking accused harlot was a guy, and that one of the alleged prostitutes, a woman, pleaded guilty earlier in the day to the same crime she was charged with in Schaumburg. One of the alleged clients--I won't use the "J" word, was arrested on his birthday. There was no happy ending, no happy birthday.

Speaking of the accused purchasers--why didn't the Daily Herald publish their pictures? Shouldn't they share in the humiliation?

I'm still trying to figure out why we waste police resources on prostitution. Legalize it, tax it, have some good hygene inspectors, and let the cops go after real criminals.
