Earlier today the Irish Prime Minister, Brian Cowen, met with President Obama in Washington. Traditionally the Irish head of government visits the White House on March 17.
I just got back from running, most of the runners on the path were wearing green.
Irish-Americans have made contributions to America in all fields, but today I'm going to salute Michael Collins, the Command Module Pilot for Apollo 11, the first mission to land on the moon. Collins orbited the Moon while Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walked the surface--but Collins who brought them home.
