Abraham Lincoln, the greatest president of the 19th century, was born on this day in Kentucky in 1809. This year's Lincoln's Birthday is a bit of a letdown, last year was the Lincoln Bicentennial.
As I did in the run-up to that day, I will be posting, on a somewhat frequent basis, entries about Ronald Reagan, who I believe was the greatest president of the 20th century.
The Reagan Centennial arrives on February 6, 2011. The Gipper was the only president born in Illinois.
Happy Birthday, Abe!
