From the campaign: The Jim Ryan I Know

Here's something new: The Jim Ryan campaign web site has a new feature--The Jim Ryan I Know. Look for more additions in the days ahead, but the site currently has three videos from ordinary Illinoisans telling stories about how Jim has positively changed their lives.

Meanwhile, another Republican candidate is running negative ads.

Click here to visit the official Jim Ryan site. You'll find Ryan's Facebook group here, and you can follow his tweets here.

Unfortunately, the reality is that Jim Ryan has some very troubling baggage that makes him inappropriate for the job of governor. First, Mr. Ryan wrongfully put Rolando Cruz and Alex Hernandez on Death Row. “Ask them about the Jim Ryan they know!” The investigations and efforts by prosecutors around this case were a travesty of justice and Jim Ryan was a key player in the fiasco. Additional horrible crimes were committed by the guilty party while law enforcement went for the wrong men at great taxpayer expense.
Second, Mr. Ryan has had strong ties to Stuart Levine, a longtime friend, campaign fundraiser and $ 800,000 donor, who has now been convicted of corruption in the Blagojevich scandal and sits in prison.
Jim Ryan has stated that he knew nothing of his friend's activities and thankfully, Rolando Cruz and Alex Hernandez were finally freed from prison. Nun-the-less, the fact of the matter is, we can do better than Jim Ryan when seeking a governor who will lead the charge to stop the culture of corruption and be the honorable servant leader we need to change our destiny.
