US unemployment rate at 10.2 percent

The nation's unemployment rate is now at 10.2 percent, the highest in twenty six years.

That figure does not include workers who have settled into part-time jobs, or those who have given up seeking employment.

And as I've stated many times in this blog, in the frenzy to pass the economic stimulus boondoggle, the Obama administration said the unemployment rate would not exceed eight percent.
