Durbin and Quinn pushing economic benefits of "Gitmo North"

This is what one-party rule begats. Governor Pat Quinn and Senator Dick Durbin, both Democrats, not only favor holding transferring Guantanamo Bay terrorists to a prison in Thomson, Illinois. They claiming "Gitmo North" will be an economic boon for the state.

There is a perfect place for these inmates--Guantanamo Bay. It has a state-of-the-art medical facility. Unless one is built for Thomson, terrorist who become ill will have to be treated at a hospital--posing numerous security risks. Such as an escape.

In a May bloggers' conference, Rep. Todd Tiahrt (R-KS) revealed that "there are people on the internet and on the airwaves" planning rescue missions at Gitmo, which is not nearly as accessible as Thomson.

If that seems far-fetched to you, some of the plotters of the first World Trade Center bombing schemed to break Meir Kahane assassin El Sayyid Nosair out of Attica Prison using a truck bomb.

It doesn't take much imagination to envision a suicide bomber traveling to northwestern Illinois to make a statement.

Thomson Illinois is the Melon Capitol of the World!

Dirthering Dick must have known that fact and coupled with the fact that the Islamist Terrorist Guests of the Nation are Melon Lovers ( as all solid Sons of the Sand seem to be) this synergy is just Durbin's way of spreading the joy!
