Most of the men and women who run the Chicago Marathon dress as I did--wearing sensible clothes with two purposes in mind: being comfortable and not adding extra bulk.
Then there are the other ones.
Each of these photographs were taken while I was running. So if they are a bit blurry, or if an arm is seemingly missing, please be understanding.
Up on top is Carol, she's the first runner that I photographed while running, snapping, and turning around.
Perhaps he was tired, but "Hula Boy" seemed a bit annoyed when I took his picture near the United Center, past the half way point of the race. Hey, when you dress that way, expect a lot of attention.
The woman on the left has dog ears--okay, they're not real dog ears--she was running for PAWS Chicago, the city's largest no-kill animal shelter.
Bees are animals too. And the woman on the lower-right did not think I was a busy body for snapping her photo. Perhaps this real-honey is happy because we were running past the Lincoln Park Conservatory--there is lots of pollen there.
