Obama will be in Copenhagen to sell Chicago 2016 bid

At this point it shouldn't be a surprise--there has been speculation for a couple of weeks about it--but President Obama will travel to Copenhagen on Friday to pitch Chicago's bid to host the 2016 Summer Olympics.

As I noted a couple of weeks ago, Obama badly needs a win after taking hit after hit for his stalled plan for government-run health care. If he gets the games for his hometown, he'll get a small bounce for a couple of days.

But that will be it.
