Fire Van Jones and no more czars

A lot can happen in a year, but if the midterm elections were held today, the Republican Party would win back control of the House of Representatives, and the Democrats would lose their filibuster-proof majority in the Senate.

The first order of business for the 112th Congress should be placing limits on these "czars" appointed by the president.

For instance, Van Jones, Barack Obama's green jobs czar, is formally known as the Special Advisor for Green Jobs at the White House Council on Environmental Quality, was appointed to his position without Senate approval. That's because none is needed.

Jones is a former Communist and a 9/11 "truther." Then there is this:

He also has consistently leaned on racially charged language, pointing the finger at "white polluters and the white environmentalists" for "steering poison" to minority communities, as he makes the case for lifting up low-income and minority communities with better environmental policy.

Shortly before his appointment to his czardom, Jones was caught on video calling Republicans "a__holes." (Video link is NOT SAFE FOR WORK.)

Obama, aka "the czar of all the czars: Fire Van Jones.

Congress: No more czars.

Thank you for speaking the truth! This pattern of hiring people of questionable background who give lie to the promise of post-partisan America will, I predict, be the tipping point of public opinion. You can fool some of the people...
