Here's what I hear from my Republican Senate friends in Washington...
The Democrats will continue with their hurry-up offense strategy to get their government run health care plan passed, even though they're not done writing the bill. Of the five sections, two remain unfinished.
This sneak-attack approach is dangerous for numerous reasons, in my opinion. Here are just couple: Health care is 1/6 of our economy, and no country, once they've put their versions of Obamacare into place, has ever abandoned it.
On the right-side of the aisle, sober-minded individuals such as Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) urge caution.
Let me rush to my next hurry-up point: When Chief Justice John Roberts and Associate Justice Samuel Alito were going through their confirmation processes, current Senate Judiciary Committee Patrick Leahy (D-VT) was just fine with dragging out the process. Now it's rush...rush...rush time for Leahy to get Judge Sonia Sotomayor, the self-described "wise Latina," onto the Supreme Court.
There's a lot to investigate in regards to Sotomayor including articles she wrote while attending Yale Law School (Where are they?), and her ties to the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund and how it might relate to her ruling against white firefighters in an affirmative action case.
Hey Dems...slow down. You might get hurt.
