There's a smattering of flooding in the Chicago area, mostly in communities near the Des Plaines River.
A few miles to the east is the North Branch of the Chicago River, which is mostly surrounded by forest preserves, such as Linne Woods in Morton Grove, where this photograph was taken this afternoon.
Parts of the river are over its banks, but because homes and businesses are relatively far away, that's not a problem.
