Burris tells impeachment panel there was no deal on seat

Roland Burris, the choice of disgraced governor Rod Blagojevich to replace Barack Obama in the US Senate, testified in front of the Illinois House impeachment panel this afternoon.

There were no bombshells. Burris testified that his fellow Chicago Democrat did not do anything improper by accepting Blago's offer--and the governor didn't engage in deal making with the veteran politician.

On the other hand, Burris may be the only person who was ever offered a US Senate seat by a governor's defense attorney.

Blago just has to be different.

There may be a movie in the works
about the life and times of
Blagojevich. Flaky crusted Blago.
