Christmas travel in the snow

Since more than half of the nation has snow on the ground, this is the scene many travellers are encountering this afternoon.

Mrs. Marathon Pundit took this picture two weeks ago near Wilmot, Wisconsin.

The smoke in the background--it's really steam--is from a power plant.

Once again, Merry Christmas!

That is an awesome pic. I used to
live in Salem Wisconsin which isn't
too far from Wilmot. A lot has
changed since I lived there. The
wide open spaces are filled in
with houses, condos and townhomes.
I drove through salem on my way
back from a skiing trip in the U.P
of Mich.

And a lot of those places are vacation or "investment homes."

And they're probably dirt cheap now. But they're still many miles from Milwaukee and Chicago.

YOU AREN'T BEING VERY NICE JOHNNY!
At least people didn't die for
blago's mishaps! I notice you
didn't spend as much time criticizing Ryan's SCREW-UP as
sec'y of state, which incedently
cost NINE people their lives!!!!
YOU AREN'T VERY NICE JOHNNY!!!!!!
