All 50 Dem senators call on Blagojevich to quit

I wonder how the Republican senators feel about Blagojevich?

A letter signed by all 50 U.S. Democratic senators Wednesday called on Gov. Rod Blagojevich to resign, stating that "under no circumstances" should he appoint someone to fill the vacant Senate seat of President-elect Barack Obama.

"In light of your arrest yesterday on alleged federal corruption charges related to that Senate seat, any appointment by you would raise serious questions," said the letter, which was instigated by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada and the second-ranking Democrat, Sen. Richard Durbin of Illinois.

The letter warned that any appointment by the governor would be reviewed by the Senate "to determine whether such a person should be seated."

While it's possible a special election for senator could be enacted by the Illinois legislature, the senators called on the governor to resign or step aside as "the most expeditious way for a new Senator to be chosen and seated in a manner that would earn the confidence of the people of Illinois and all Americans. We consider it imperative that a new senator be seated as soon as possible so that Illinois is fully represented in the Senate as the important work of the 111th Congress moves forward.

Outside of his wife, Patti "Lady MacBath" Blagojevich, is there anyone isn't calling for the Chicago Democrat to resign?

"Blago" isn't listening, and the Illinois General Assembly will begin the impeachment process. And there is a possibility that the Illinois Supreme Court could remove Blagojevich from office.
