Sen. Jim Bunning looking to raise $10 million for 2010 reelection

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) survived a tough reelection challenge from businessman Bruce Lunsford last week. McConnell was still able to outspend the Democrat, but he ended up with just 53 percent of the vote.

Kentucky's other senator, Jim Bunning, a Hall of Fame pitcher, is up at his reelection campaign in 2010, and a bunch of Democrats, including possibly Lunsford, is looking to unseat the 77 year-old former Philadelphia Phillie.

Bunning says he'll to raise at least $10 million for his 2010 effort, which seems low. McConnell, according to the Lexingtion Herald-Leader, reported that his campaign had raised $17.1 million at the beginning of October.

Sentiments like that are why the Dems do poorly in the South.

Are you insinuating that "Dems"
make fun of Southerners? Since
Republicans are just as creative,
and more so as "Dems."
