Blogging from the Republican National Convention at the Xcel Center St. Paul, Minnesota.
Originally today was the day that convicted political fixer Antoin "Tony" Rezko was to be sentenced at a federal court in Chicago.
For the uninitiated, Rezko was Obama's first political sponsor, and the Chicago North Shore businessman offered the future senator a job while he still in law school.
Since some people on the other side of the political fence were claiming a few days ago that Hurricane Gustav was proof that God was a Democrat, I might as well have fun with this one--Rezko's sentencing will now take place on October 28--one week before a Election Day.
Seriously, it was Rezko's lawyers who requested the extra time.
