This is where I was this morning: on Chicago's Lakefront Path running 17 miles. And it was a pretty good day to run, it was about 70 degrees with low humidity--not bad for August.The path begins (or ends, it depends which was you look at it) in front of the "Bob Newhart Building" on Chicago's far North Side. 18 miles later it ends at the South Shore Cultural Center, which was at one time the South Shore Country Club.

The old South Shore CC was used in the Blues Brothers movie, it's ballroom was used as the hall In which the reconstituted Blues Brothers played near the end of the movie.
John Candy in that ballroom:
"Orange whip? Orange whip? Three orange whips."
