Upcoming Rezko verdict: Obama's next problem?

Barack Obama's latest fiasco, the Father Pfleger sermon which led to the Illinois senator leaving his church of twenty years, might be followed up by more bad news--because jurors in the corruption trial of Antoin "Tony" Rezko begin their ninth day of deliberations tomorrow.

Rezko could be found not guilty on all 24 corruption counts, but he still faces charges involving the allegedly fraudulent sale of his pizza business. And last week a Nevada judge issued an arrest warrant on the Democratic political insider for unpaid gambling debts. And if the trial ends in a hung jury, it means Rezko faces a re-trial.

The Rezko story is not going away for Obama.

Remember, the Wilmette businessman was Obama's first political sponsor; the two men have been friends for 17 years.

And a guilty verdict for Rezko will ignite another media storm Obama's handlers will attempt to extinguish.
