Judge Amy St. Eve will hold another hearing for Antoin "Tony" Rezko at 2:00pm CST.
The indicted Democratic political insider was jailed yesterday for a bail violation.
I'll be keeping an eye on this story, and listening to a local all-news station around that time. If I come across anything important, I'll post it immediately.
In other Rezko news, although his relationship with the alleged-fixer only goes back a few years, Governor Rod Blagojevich, a Chicago Democrat, worked closely with Rezko since taking office five years ago. "Blago" was absent from a Monday press conference in which all of the other Illinois' statewide officers, Democrats to a person, expressed their support for Obama on February 5.
Since winning re-election in 2006, Blagojevich has kept out of the public eye--remember, this is the governor we're talking about--as US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald has investigated the many alleged "play to pay" schemes involving Rezko and others.
The governor has not been charged with any crimes, although last year his campaign fund paid almost $1 million in legal fees to a politically connected law firm, most likely because of those alleged schemes.
