Chicago Marathon: I finished despite the heat

I've been up since 4:30am, and I ran--and finished--the Chicago Marathon. Shortly before noon, "because of the extreme heat and humidity," as the Chicago Police phrased it over their in-car public address systems, today's race was cancelled and turned into a "fun run."

I'm going to take a nap, and do a longer post on the race. I ran with my digital camera--so there will be pictures.

But I'm okay, outside of fatigue, some stiffness, and a little plantar fasciitis on my left heel.

Others aren't so lucky. CBS 2 Chicago is reporting that one runner has died and at least 250 were taken away in ambulances.
