Helen Walton, whose family had a little bit of money that her husband Sam invested wisely: first in some Ben Franklin variety stores, then his own Wal-Mart,
died earlier Thursday evening. She was 87. RIP.
Without Helen, there probably wouldn't have been a Wal-Mart corporation.
