February 3...The Day the Music Died...and a mystery

It was a frigid Midwestern February 3 like this one when an airplane carrying Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and J.R Richardson--better known as the Big Bopper--crashed near Clear Lake, Iowa.

Of course, it was "The Day The Music Died," as Don McLean sang in his song, "American Pie."

In the latest Glenn & Helen Show podcast, forensic anthropologist Dr. William Bass talks about the upcoming exhumation of the remains of the Big Bopper. Richardson's body was found about thirty yards from the plane wreckage. Did he briefly survive?

Months after the crash, a gun belonging to the Big Bopper was discovered by a farmer near the crash site--which fueled rumors of possible foul play.
