Henry Hyde's college basketball recollections of George Mikan

Years before he became an Illinois congressman, and of course well before he achieved national prominence as chairman of the House Judiciary Committee during the Bill Clinton impeachment hearings, Henry Hyde was a member Georgetown University's basketball team, and guarded the late George Mikan in the second half of the NCAA East Regional, holding the DePaul big man to just one point. The Hoyas won the game.

Hyde and Mikan faced off in Chicago area high school basketball games, too.
