From AP and Yahoo: Circulation fell broadly at major newspapers in the six-month period ending in March as the industry struggled with the impact of do-not-call rules, competition from other media and the migration of readers online.
I'd like to add that PC driven editors pushing writers to churn out less-then-interesting articles is likely another reason for the continuing newspaper circulation free-fall.
Of the twenty major newspapers, the steepest drop was at the Chicago Tribune. Trib editors, feel free to troll around this and other blogs for story ideas. Links on the left, scroll down for my posts.
