Ethiopian Tsegaye Kebede won the men's race in a course-record time of 2 hours, 4 minutes, 38 seconds. In the women's race, Kedebe's country-woman Atsede Baysa edged Rita Jeptoo of Kenya in a photo-finish. Her time was 2 hours, 22 minutes, 3 seconds.
