Illinois Santorum rally protest pics; video of two male occupiers kissing

While 1,000 people attended the Rick Santorum rally, about 50 protesters were outside Christian Liberty Academy in Arlington Heights demonstrating against him.

Yes, a couple of Ron Paul backers were there.

Of the protesters, most of them appeared to be with Carmel Catholic Alumni Against Rick Santorum. The former Pennsylvania senator is a graduate of the Mundelein, Illinois Catholic institution. Santorum's views on homosexuality aren't that different than those of the Church, so their argument is really with Catholic hierarchy, not Santorum. The man on the right recognized me, he's a fine gentleman--a reader of Marathon Pundit and hopefully a patronizer of the many fine advertisers here--as you should be too!

On a personal level, President Obama opposes same-sex marriage.

The left is so rude. Among the many Santorum yard signs in front of Christian Liberty Academy were a half dozen Obama-Biden placards.

Not all of the members of Occupy Chicago were at the regional OWS conference in St. Louis.

These four occupiers in my video, including the two men kissing here, weren't in St. Louis either. They yelled out their annoying "mic check" call during Santorum's speech. He never acknowledged them and the crowd chanted "USA" as they were thrown out. Then the former senator continued his address as if nothing happened.

Santorum called President Obama "a snob" because he claimed, wrongly, that Obama only wants post-high school education to be offered by four year colleges. However, Santorum is right that university learning often means being "taught by some liberal college professor trying to indoctrinate them."

After the tragic Gabrielle Giffords shooting, didn't Obama call for more "civility" in our political discourse? He did.

What was I saying about civility?

Speaking of beliefs, for twenty years Obama sat in the pews of the Reverend Jeremiah Wright's radical church.

Since the protesters were for the most part exceedingly pleasant to me, I'll give them the last word without editorializing.
