Occupy Denver pics: "Need $ for marijuana," homeless, offer to buy "medicine"

Blogging from BlogCon2011 in Denver.

Hotel security informed FreedomWorks staff that Occupy Denver will protest our presence in the Mile High City.

Well, this BlogCon attendee ventured over to Occupy Denver yesterday afternoon.

What did I find?

What's that sign say? No camping...no sleeping, no loitering...Oh, behind the sign is the Colorado state capitol.

No camping? There are campers on both sides of Broadway, between the capitol building and Denver's city hall.

That sign on top also said "No public intoxication." Oh yeah, no camping...

And no sleeping...

For you political "newbies," K Street in Washington is a hub of lobbying. While there are a lot of lobbyists based on K Street, it's a metaphorical term, like Wall Street and Broadway in New York. While K Street may need to be defanged, I'm not sure what that has to do with needing "$ for marijuana."

This gentleman, while he had a hand in his sweat pants, asked me, "Do want to buy some 'medicine.'"

Corporation CEOs: Care to comment? Nice fall colors, dontcha think?

I'm not saying these guys are homeless, but about half of the 75 or so campers with OccupyDenver fit that category. They have that sun-beaten, crumpled road-map facial features indicative of an unhappy life. Very sad. Particularly heartbreaking was a group of Native Americans I saw arguing amongst themselves in both English and their tribal language. One of the group had blood dripping from a fresh cut on his cheek.

Vandalism is unheard of at tea parties. The circle "A" is an anarchist symbol.

As I've mentioned in my Occupy Chicago posts, masks are also unheard of at tea parties.

Communism is not mainstream.

Hey, I just don't post unflattering photos about the Occupy movement.
