More 11/17 Occupy Chicago March pics: More SEIU and a false Lincoln quote

It's time again for some more Occupy Chicago photographs from Thursday's march. Thank you Michelle Malkin for retweeting last night's post.

Yesterday the Occupy Wall Street movement commemorated its second-month anniversary with rallies across the nation.

Like a purple bruise, SEIU's presence was inescapable yesterday in Chicago.

In the center is Leroy Jones, Jr., an unsuccessful candidate for a candidate for the City Council in 2007. Here is what the Chicago Reader wrote about that race:
Heads up in Chicago's 21st Ward. SEIU came out in force and along with Leroy Jones' volunteer organization seems to have been all over incumbent Howard Brookins. At 4 PM turnout was running about 80 percent of 2003 levels, and there seems to be a real chance than Jones will win without a runoff.
Jones did force a runoff but Brookins prevailed in the second round. But the geography favored community organizer tactics. Located in that ward is Reverend Jeremiah Wright's Trinity United Church of Christ.

"Revolution: Voice of the Revolution Communist Party USA. Revcom.us."

James Taranto, who writes the essential Best of the Web column for the one-percenter bible, the Wall Street Journal, likes to mock atavistic statements such as the one the woman has on her sign.

Here we go: "News from 2008: The debt bubble will burst." Taranto coined the term "Obamavilles" to describe the Occupy movement's tent cities. Ironically, the president's former chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, didn't allow Obamavilles in Obama's hometown.

It can't be an Occupy movement march without National Lawyers Guild legal observers. My advice to them is to...

...speak with this guy instead of babysitting leftists. What does his situation have to do with "greed?"

The 1970s were the "Me Decade." We are now suffering through the "Gimme Decade." Hmm...something is wrong with that sign.

I know enough about Abraham Lincoln to quickly spot errors in Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard's Killing Lincoln. By the way, I still recommend the book. But the Lincoln quote being proclaimed here didn't pass the smell test.
As a result of the war, corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the republic is destroyed.
There is just one problem. She is being dishonest about Honest Abe. Snopes.com says our greatest president ever said or wrote such a thing.

John Wilkes Booth? What is he doing here?

The Laborers Union has a long history of corruption.

In These Times, a far-left publication, alleges an "election-rigging scheme" occurred during a 2004 Teamsters Local 743 electoral contest. To learn more about Teamster corruption, click here.

I plan on having different memories.

Next for me is more research--I might be able to glean enough material for one more post on last night's march.
