Presidential candidate Michele Bachmann spoke via video at TeaCon 2011 in Schaumburg, Illinois yesterday afternoon. Herman Cain, who I will write about later today, was the only candidate to journey to Schaumburg for the event.
The Minnesota Republican championed her conservative credentials, telling the audience of about 1,000--most of them fellow Midwesterners, "I have been that leader in the House of Representatives and I will be that leader" as president. In a likely allusion to Mitt Romney's recent debate and opinion poll success, Bachmann told the tea partiers that they should not settle on "anyone but Barack Obama." That is because "The American people have made their decision and they've decided that Barack Obama will be a one term president." And it won't stop there, she predicts. "(2012) will be a wave election."
