BoDeans: You Don't Get Much

With Wisconsin in the news, it's only natural that I showcase a Cheesehead band for today's Saturday Musical Selection. And it's Waukesha's BoDeans, who I saw open up for Elvis Costello at the old Poplar Creek Musical Theater in the 1990s.

In 2007, Sam and Kurt played "You Don't Get Much" at the Iowa State Fair. It's an amateur video, but a darn good one.



Speaking of state fairs, it's hard to believe, but the Beatles played at least at one of them, the 1964 Indiana State Fair in 1964, as Pat Hickey discovered.

As Johnny Carson used to say, "I did not know that!"
