Allen West closes out CPAC, calls for "The dawn of a New America"

Rep. Allen West of Florida closed out the 2011 Conservative Political Action Conference with a rousing speech in which he called on his fellow conservatives to "Stand firm, for this is the dawn of a new America."

While he offered praise for other cultures, West declared, "Yes, there is a definitive American culture."

And the retired Army colonel presented a sound military strategy: "Political correctness has no place in our national security strategy.'"
