City of "Because I don't want to" |
Moseley Braun is running for mayor of Chicago. Last weekend, in a deal engineered by the Reverend Jesse Jackson, US Rep. Danny Davis (D-7th) withdrew from the race so the city's African American community could unite behind one candidate.
The Chicago Tribune's Clout Street blog tells us that the other three candidates who have a realistic chance of winning, Rahm Emanuel, Gery Chico, and Miguel del Valle, have already done so.
The "Because I don't want to" Moseley Braun will be familiar to people who remember her disastrous term in the US Senate in the 1990s.
UPDATE January 4: Late last night Moseley Braun relented, her campaign said it would release her tax returns.
