Shortly before the Senate voted on the massive banking reform bill, an amendment requiring the inspector general of the FDIC to investigate the graft-ridden ShoreBank bailout was stripped from the legislation.
Joel Pollak, the Republican nominee for Illinois' 9th Congressional District, wants to know--and do I--what the Democrats are trying to hide.
His opponent in that race, Rep. Jan Schakowsky, has been ShoreBank's most steadfast defender in Congress.
An astounding eighty banks have failed since January 1, 12 of them in Illinois. None but ShoreBank, have received bailouts.
But ShoreBank is different. Barack Obama's former church, Trinity United Church of Christ, went to ShoreBank for a mortage for the $10 million retirement home for its race-baiting former pastor, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright. Ironically, the palatial residence is in lily-white Tinley Park. Longtime Obama crony and White House senior advisor Valerie Jarrett served on a board with ShoreBank Director Adele Simmons. 9/11-truther, communist, and former White House green jobs czar Van Jones is a ShoreBank customer.
When is my odious congresscritter going to come clean about why she wants to save ShoreBank?
Hat tip to Backyard Conservative.
