There is just one Tea Party Express rally on Wednesday. The buses roll in to Boston for a 10:00am patriotic celebration in Boston Common at Charles and Beacon Street.
This will be a big deal. Sarah Palin will once again be the featured speaker, and a big turnout is expected. So are counter protesters, including Andrew J. Hendricks, a hotelier (many of them are nuts, I worked in the business for 13 years) who posted on his since-deleted Twitter page that he would be "crashing the Boston Tea Party express of retards in less than 24 hours." Other liberals plan to disrupt the family-oriented celebration and the April 15 nationwide tax day tea parties, even going as far as "trying to make its members appear to be racist, homophobic and moronic."
During the Bush presidency, the libs would bellow, "Dissent is the highest form of patriotism."
TPX has been compelled to hire extra security for the Hub City rally, and they are asking for contributions to offset this unanticipated expense.
In his inimitable style, ThirdWaveDave brings George S. Patton, Boston, and the Tea Party Express together for a thought-provoking post.
The freedom caravan held rallies in two state capitals today, Albany, New York and Concord, New Hampshire. Boston is the capital of Massachusetts, and the final stop of the Express will be on April 15--in Our Nation's Capital.
And capital is what they are taking from us.
If you can't make it to Boston Common, then watch the action TPX TV.
UPDATE 11:10am CDT: Henricks' employer, GEM Hotel, is Tweeting this message: "Sorry this was offensive; opinions of staff, expressed on personal pages, are theirs alone & not reflective of our brand." But Hendricks listed his employer's website on his old Twitter page.

Someone disagreeing with the tea party doesn’t make them a liberal. You have to be either uneducated or simply a fool to think that (or a die-hard republican). Anyone with half a brain will realize that yes the tea party is detrimental to the Republican Party. Why would you want to split a party that can’t even come up with a decent ticket for the election (past).
Here is my other question: why would you listen to anything someone says knowing they were unable to name the countries comprising NATO (there are 3)? I feel anyone trying to be in position of power in this government ought to know that. It is sad to see this beautiful country coming to a point where the population will choose charisma over intelligence. That is the very reason this country has gotten itself into the position that it is in.
After reading some of the responses to this "tweet" I couldn’t help but laugh. I feel like people who claim to be professionals should have better things to do with their time than twitter. The demographics of this country are changing, anyone can see that. The baby boomers are on their way out and the next generations of rising young adults are on their way in. I suppose it would be mean to inform tweetheads of the general opinion of twitter and the like, but I am not here to vent frustrations from my own life onto other people on some stupid, meaningless, web blog. Ironically that seems to be a major reason most other people are on here.
Regarding the use of the word "retard." The dictionary definition (for the noun form) are as follows:
a. a mentally retarded person.
b. a person who is stupid, obtuse, or ineffective in some way: a hopeless social retard.
Anyone who thinks that definition a was the usage of the word in this case is, by default, definition b. At the same time, it is not a socially friendly word and I do feel the author could have potentially found a better word choice. blockhead, bonehead, dolt, dullard, dunce, fool, idiot, ignoramus, imbecile, moron, numskull, simpleton, or my personal favorite, twit (sounds like a word to describe users of twitter no?).
I think the real issue here is people with too much time. People you need to get your asses of your computers and go outside. When was the last time you talked to someone face to face? Although I do forget how drawn people are to gossip and drama. Maybe one day they will grow up and maybe then they wont have to cry about one person's comments towards a group of people. In reality, he just had the balls to say what everyone else, even the non-teaparty republicans, think about the tea-party (although like I said better word usage could have been implemented here). I mean come on, they couldn’t even come up with an original name, but rather had to use one that makes people think they are into "teabagging."
