I just finished listening to Andrea Shea King's BlogTalkRadio show from Saturday night. She is embedded with the freedom caravan and while on the bus, Andrea spoke with many of the speakers and organizers of the event during last night's broadcast.
Here's what I learned--and read closely, because you won't find it in the establishment media reports. Airplanes were skywriting "God Bless America." And according to James (I couldn't quite catch his last name), a representative of the American Grassroots Coalition, "people had parked miles away and walked" to the rally.
All kinds of people, said Polatik the Rapper: "There are blacks here, there are Hispanics here. This isn't a race thing, it's an American thing."
The American Grassroots Coalition spokesman had this to say about the crowd: "It was an incredible sight to see all of these people who are upset with their government but still the most patriotic Americans around."
Contrast that scene with what Skye of Midnight Blue Says and I observed during a leftist protest at the 2008 Republican National Convention. It was quite ugly. Click here for Skye's report--with video.
