In addition to Glacier Point, another great spot for a panoramic view of Yosemite National Park is Olmsted Point. It was named for Frederick Law Olmsted, Jr., the son of the landscape architect best known as the designer of New York's Central Park.
Olmsted was no slouch either in that field, and he was also a conservationist and champion of America's national parks.
One mile east of Olmsted Point is Tenaya Lake, the topic of my next post.
