Jesse Jackson family castrates "hog with big nuts"

The 7th Ward Democratic Committeeman's race in Chicago is the last Super Tuesday race I'll blog about today.

As I wrote in length on Sunday, the Jesse Jackson family and the William Beavers political clan have been feuding for over a decade. Last year, Sandi Jackson, the wife of US Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., defeated Darcel Beavers, the daughter of William, who engineered her appointment as alderman of Chicago's 7th Ward after he resigned in 2006.

Beavers, pictured above, moved on to the Cook County Board of Commissioners, and it was from that platform last fall where he put on a more vulgar version of the race-baiting act the senior Jackson perfected years ago.

While claiming last fall that white members of the board were against a proposal to impose the nation's highest sales tax because the preident of the board is black, Beavers yelled out at a reporter that he was "the hog with the big nuts and I'm gonna tell you what it is."

This is how it is on the day after Super Tuesday. Not only is Sandi Jackson the alderman of Chicago's 7th Ward, she's the new committeeman. She neutered Beavers. And three years from now, the Jacksons will drive him off the Board of Commissioners and out of politics, just as they did, with the exception of the mayor's office of suburban Dolton, to another political clan, the Shaw twins.

But like the Beavers, the Shaws are vile. As are the Jacksons.

Like the 1980-88 Iraq-Iran War, sometimes the only sensible thing to do is to wish for a mutual defeat in match-ups like these.

Oh, by the way, as should be apparent to the reader by now, nepotism in politics runs deep in Illinois, particularly among Democrats.

For instance, the sometimes governor of Illinois, Rod Blagojevich, is the son-in-law of Richard Mell, a powerful Chicago alderman. The attorney general, Lisa Madigan, is the daughter of Michael Madigan, speaker of the Illinois House and chairman of the state Democratic Party. The state comptroller is Dan Hynes, who is the son of former Cook County Assessor Tom Hynes.
