But yesterday, Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg, a George Soros-funded catch-and-release-violent-criminals prosecutor, did just that.

IRS visits home of Twitter Files' Matt Taibbi on same day he testified before Congress

When Richard M. Nixon used the IRS to target political opponents, the liberals screamed in anger. 

As everyone should have.

But now that the IRS is likely being used against the Twitter Files' Matt Taibbi, who is not a conservative, the leftists are uncomfortably quiet.

From Fox Business:

The same day journalist Matt Taibbi was voluntarily testifying before Congress in Washington, D.C., an IRS agent showed up unannounced at his New Jersey home, he said.

Taibbi has been personally involved with revealing the "Twitter Files," or installments of behind-the-scenes documents new Twitter CEO Elon Musk provided to show how the social media platform previously censored content and users, among other things.

Taibbi testified before the newly Republican-created Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government about what he learned about Twitter on March 9, the same day an IRS agent made an unusual visit to his home.

"What an amazing coincidence," tweeted Michael Shellenberger, who was also involved with Musk and Twitter and also testified that same day.

Illinois HS school superintendent threatens disciplinary action against students who protest trans youths in bathrooms

Monroe County, where this incident occurred, is a conservative area.

On March 17, a group of nearly 150 Waterloo High School students lined up to use the nurse’s restroom after being told if they were uncomfortable sharing a bathroom with a student of the opposite sex, they could use the single-stall unisex bathroom, students told the Daily Caller News Foundation. Following the protest, Superintendent Brian Charron notified the school community that the students who stood in line were marked tardy from class and those who continue to protest the issue will be disciplined, a move students believe is unfair, they told the DCNF. “On Friday, around 150 students, including myself, stood up for our rights and beliefs,” Anna Demers, a Waterloo High School senior, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “We were told to use a single stall restroom in the nurse’s office if we were uncomfortable with persons of the opposite genitalia in our restrooms. We all stood in line, to use the restroom, and to make a statement. When we tried to stress our safety concerns prior to the events Friday, we were not acknowledged and heard. The events on Friday were peaceful on our part, aside from a few disrespectful individuals, which is inevitable because as teenagers, life is a learning process.” 

After a biological female started using the boys’ bathroom, several male students told school administration they were uncomfortable, Charron wrote. The administration advised the students to use the nurse’s office bathroom if they were uncomfortable sharing a restroom with the opposite sex.

But a long line resulted, and some students marked the protesters tardy or absent.

“We want all parents and students to understand that we will not tolerate another significant disruption in school,” Charron wrote. “Students who participated in this disruption today were marked tardy or absent from class. We understand that a similar plan is in place for Monday. Students who attempt to repeat today’s actions will be disciplined for attempting to cause a disruption in school. To the extent we determine that the nurse’s office bathroom line was a form of harassment, students will be disciplined for their participation in the harassment.”

Two dead and at least 10 wounded over weekend in Chicago

The last full weekend in March saw two people killed and at least 10 others wounded. 

Both fatalities happened on Sunday. Early that morning a man was shot to death while driving in Little Village on the Southwest Side. According to ABC Chicago, an "unruly group" confronted police officers responding to the shooting, one cop was hit in the head with an object, he was taken to a hospital and his condition is listed as good. 

In the other fatal shooting, a man was found shot to death in East Garfield Park on the West Side.

Chicago is eight days from Election Day. The remaining two candidates are Paul Vallas, who promises to hire more police officers, and Brandon Johnson, who said in 2020 that defunding the police was "a political goal."
