"This is for Allah," knife-wielding jihadis kill 7 in London

Appalling. Absolutely appalling. In a still developing story, seven people are reported dead in a series of terror attacks in London, carried about by jihadis yelling, "This is for Allah."

Ted Nugent: I Want To Tell You

Ted Nugent, patriot and Donald Trump supporter, has had a long career as a hard rocker, but in 1979 on his State of Shock album the Motor City Madman enjoyed a hit single with a George Harrison-penned Beatles cover, "I Want to Tell You."

Here's Nuge and his band back in '79.

Trump weekly address 6/2/17

Here's something new--an American president advancing American interests.

"Over the course of 9 days, Melania and I traveled to some of the holiest sites in the three Abrahamic religions and met with nearly 100 foreign leaders," President Donald Trump remarked in his weekly address. "Everywhere we went, my goal was to advance American interests, to build a coalition of nations to drive out the terrorists, and to unlock a future of peace, prosperity, and hope for all Americans – and people around the world."

Fox Detroit: Little Caesars says $100 million halal pepperoni lawsuit dropped because it is false

Southwest Detroit
My guess is that there are some attorneys in Michigan who wish they were working at an oil change shop instead of practicing law after having to labor on this case.

From Fox Detroit:
Attorneys for Little Caesars said on Friday that a lawsuit that claimed a Detroit-area Muslim man had been served pepperoni pizza instead of halal pepperoni was being dropped. However, the man's attorneys are disputing that assertion.

Little Caesars says after they were made aware of Mohamad Bazzi's lawsuit, they looked into the matter -- as the consumption of pork is strictly forbidden under Muslim law.

They say they found the allegations to be false and presented those results to Bazzi's attorney before heading into court.

"We shared the results of what we learned with Mr. Bazzi's attorney, which caused him to tell us he would dismiss the lawsuit," said Mike Huget from local Detroit law firm Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn.
The suit was (or is) for $100 million.

Trump: "I was elected to represent the citizens of Pittsburgh, not Paris"

Thank God we have a president who fights for Americans again. As Donald J. Trump announced our departure from the Paris global warming accord, he said, "I was elected to represent the citizens of Pittsburgh, not Paris."

CNN panel mocks Hillary, "A Lot of [Democrats] would prefer to have her fade away…"

The Anti-Trump News Network, also known as CNN, hosted a panel where Hillary Clinton was deservedly shunned. "A Lot of [Democrats] would prefer to have her fade away," one of them said.

ILL-inois: State's bond rating is lowest ever for a state, just above junk

Blogger at the border
Sooner or later--preferably the former--Puerto Rico-style bankruptcy is coming to Illinois. The Prairie State just entered its third-straight year without the General Assembly passing an annual budget. It has over $14 billion in unpaid bills and while its pension plans may not be the worst-funded in the nation, Illinois is so close to the bottom of the pension manure pile that it doesn't really matter.

State Democratic party boss Michael Madigan, who has been speaker of the state House for 32 of the last 34 years, is blaming Republican reform governor Bruce Rauner for this ongoing failure. But Madigan's chamber, unlike the Senate, didn't even pass a budget bill.

In response, Standard & Poor's lowered Illinois' bond rating to BB+, which is one step above junk. The state's fiscal year begins in a month. S&P says that another downgrade is very likely if Illinois doesn't pass a budget, which won't be easy because now that the General Assembly's 2017 session has ended, a supermajority is needed to enact a budget.

Madigan is the mother, father, and midwife of Illinois' nightmare. He needs to go.

Can a bankruptcy judge oust Madigan?

UPDATE 5:25PM Illinois Bankruptcy Time: Moody's also lowered the bond rating for ILL-inois.

#TrumpSpring: 250K jobs added in May, says ADP

The Donald Trump boom continues.

From USA Today:
Businesses added 253,000 jobs in May, payroll processor ADP said Thursday, possibly heralding a second straight month of solid hiring in the government's employment report this week.

Economists surveyed by Bloomberg expected ADP to tally 180,000 private-sector job gains. They expect the Labor Department on Friday to count 180,000 new positions in the public and private sectors.

ADP tries to predict Labor's reading but has varied from it by a median of 32,000 the past two years, according to High Frequency Economics. Unlike Labor’s report, ADP doesn't account for the weather-related volatility that skewed payroll totals the first four months of the year. That's because ADP counts workers as employed as long as they're on the payroll while Labor includes them only if they show up for work during the week it conducts its survey.
