Decades ago, I discovered that CPS was not really in the education business. My fellow Chicago United participants were amused by Springfield’s focus on “education” when that was not the purpose of CPS. They thought my downstate boss was naive and told me so. CPS was in the employment and contract business. Always has been. Always will be.
