Last weekend only one person shot murdered in Chicago. No, that was not the new normal because this weekend five people were shot to death--a typical amount. At least 14 others were wounded.
Of the fatalities, two of them occurred in a driveby shooting on the North Side in Edgewater, were such crimes are rare. A third man was wounded in that driveby.
Two men were gunned down on the South Side, one in Roseland and the other in Greater Grand Crossing, and one man was fatally shot in Pilsen.
It's snowing today--so hopefully the carnage will dissipate.
