Ingrate IL GOP senator Kirk flip flops on support for Trump

Count me as one of those Illinois conservatives who urged Republicans to vote for Mark Kirk in 2010 because it was crucial that the GOP pick up Barack Obama's old US Senate seat. Control of the upper chamber was at stake. The Democrats kept control of the Senate, but Kirk's win over "mob banker" Alexi Giannoulias in the '10 general election was the sole Republican Senate trophy win that year. Of course when the Republicans finally gained control of that body four years later, Kirk was part of that majority.

The North Shore Chicago Republican is up for reelecton this year. He faces a tough battle with US Rep. Tammy Duckworth and she's favored to win.

Kirk just doomed his chances. After reluctantly declaring his support for presumptive Republican nominee Donald J. Trump--Kirk now says he won't be backing Trump in the general election.

We stuck our necks out for you, Kirk. But you are a poltroon and an ingrate.

Enjoy your lobbying career.

Trump Autumn is coming. So is Kirk Winter.
