Chiraq: 8 dead and at least 41 wounded over Mother's Day weekend

It was a very violent Mother's Day weekend in Chicago. What does mom think? Eight people were murdered and at least 41 others were wounded. The shootings occurred all over Chiraq but were concentrated, as they almost always are, on the south and west sides.

But I'm going to take a brief look at two of the homicides that weren't. On Saturday night a Southwest Side man was eating dinner inside his home whey someone outside shot him in the head. Early Sunday morning a passenger in a car on North Lake Shore Drive--which tourists love--was fatally wounded.

Summer--the peak time for violence--is almost here.
