Speaking of his adopted hometown today where he arguably failed as a community organizer in a gun control speech, President Obama said, "And by the way, it happens on the streets of Chicago every day."
He was speaking of course of shootings. And there were a lot of them today. Two teens--a boy and a girl--where murdered in a drive-by shooting that wounded a third teen on the South Side. Nine other people were shot in Chiraq today--all on the South and West Sides.
So far there have been no shootings in Roseland or West Pullman. Those are the neighborhoods where Obama worked as an Alinsky-ite in the 1980s.
