Garry McCarthy, Rahm Emanuel's hand-picked police superintendent,
is out. Whether he resigned or he was canned--I'm betting on the latter--don't look for crime fighting to get much better in Chicago. Whomever replaces McCarthy will pursue a left-wing, gun-grabbing approach in attacking Chicago's high murder rate, rather than going after the real problem--violent street gangs who enjoy
at least some protection from Chicago's crooked aldermen.
