Ayers and Dohrn home |
Barack Obama began his political career in 1996
at the Chicago home of Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, former members of
the Weather Underground. The terrorist group's antipathy towards the police is well known. WU bombed the New York City Police Department's headquarters in 1971. Ten years later a Weather Underground member, Kathy Boudin,
was the getaway driver in an armored car robbery in which two cops and a security guard were murdered. She served a prison sentence for felony murder. Boudin's son, Chesa, who was later adopted by Ayers and Dohrn, was probably at home when Obama made his fabled visit.
Ayers and Dohrn have been accused by the San Francisco Police Union as being behind the 1970 bombing of a police station bombing
that killed a sergeant from that force.
Twice Ayers' and Dohrn's group bombed the Haymarket Memorial to the eight Chicago policemen killed at a 19th century anarchist rally.
We are still waiting for President Obama to make a forceful speech defending our nation's police officers.
Meanwhile, the War on Cops continues.
