In 1914, Myrtle Sanders, then an month old, was one of the thousands of participants who created a living "Star Spangled Banner" at Fort McHenry in Baltimore. The event was part of the centennial of the battle where Francis Scott Key wrote the lyrics to the song that is now our national anthem.
Yesterday the living flag was created again. And centenarian Sanders again took part.
God Bless America.
